Well, the fall air is here, then it's hot again then cold...wish it would make up it's mind! This past weekend, Oct 21 - 23, me and my mom, my sister-in-law, and my best friend, plus a new friend, all went to the Susan G Komen 3-Day for the Cure in Atlanta! All the posts I made on facebook were to help me raise my $2300 fundraising goal so I could go. The Susan G Komen is a 3 day walk held in 11 cities around the US each year. Last year was my first year and I had so much fun I vowed to do it every year that I am able. Each person who wants to walk has to raise a minimum of $2300. So each one on my team had to raise that! It is tough but a lot of fun!! My team is called PINKie Promises. Each year we have done a baseball tournament, set up at rodeos selling pink stuff, and had a very large yard sale, plus sold shirts! I have shirts left if anyone is interested, they are $15 just email me and i'll get you one in the mail! So we all reached our goal and went Thursday night to be ready for opening ceremonies on Friday morning at 7:30am! On Friday I walked 13 miles!!! I was so excited. Saturday I was so sore I only walked 4 miles but then on Sunday I was ready again and walked about 12 miles! Total miles was almost 30!! Next year I want to do all 60! Yes, it is 60 miles in 3 days. It is an amazing experience and I recommend each person experience it at least once! The 2300 walkers all in pink, tutus, bras on the outside of the shirts, just pink everywhere you look, it is AMAZING! The cheering stations, streets lined with people cheering you on and telling you thank you for walking, it is so amazing. Just knowing that all those people are there to make a difference in breast cancer research and awareness is unbelievable! Makes me so proud to be a part of it! The money raised goes to fund research, for awareness and screening. It was a great weekend and I can not wait till next year! So I had a couple days to rest then had to head out to Nashville for chemo. Had Chemo today, Wednesday, now I'm getting the November issue ready to print. A little behind this month due to all that has gone on but it will be out in a few days. We have a Junior Rodeo this weekend. All the boys are entered up in several events. I love going to the junior rodeos! I love seeing my kids loving rodeo!! They have made so many new friends who share their love for horses, riding, and rodeo! It is hard to explain to their friends at school, some of which have never even seen a horse in person before. So they get to spend the day with a group of kids who love it just as much as they do! So much fun!!

Next weekend I will be heading to Perry, GA for the Southeastern Showdown High school rodeo hosted by GHSRA. There will be 8 states of high school rodeoers there and I am looking forward to getting some good pictures and some interviews with the contestants! Look for that in the December issue! Then chemo again in 3 weeks, then the next 3 weeks I will have scans. So in 6 weeks. Please continue to pray for good results!! I appreciate all the prayers and support!

Take care and God Bless,
